ABOUT ME
Just about every decorator—me included—will tell you they fell in love with decorating around age seven, when we first set out to personalize our bedroom. Maybe we were lucky enough to pick out a paint color! Or a dreamy new set of sheets. Maybe we arranged our toys just so. We all started young and have been hooked ever since.
My design career hit stride while working in magazines. I was Home Editor at Southern Living, Lifestyle Editor at Redbook, and Editor of Coastal Living. In 2011, I created and launched the beloved, best-selling HGTV Magazine, where I lead a team of writers, stylists, and designers as Editor in Chief.
I've reimagined, rescued, and totally revamped hundreds of rooms, from transitional to modern. I know all the best brands, all the pro moves. I think my skills shine especially bright when I'm tasked with mixing patterns and playing up color.
My stints at magazines didn't just teach me about style. They taught me how to communicate with people about design, about how they want their homes to feel. That's why I find it so enjoyable and satisfying to help people bring vision boards and Pinterest boards to life. It's simple, really: Everyone deserves a home that's magazine photo-shoot ready!

Whether you want to jazz up your sofa with new throw pillows or dive into a whole-home makeover, I'd love to help guide you through the process. And, my goodness, it is a process. Taking on any decorating project means making dozens and dozens of decisions—usually way more than people think. My expert opinion? It's more cost-effective, more efficient, and certainly easier and more fun to work with a decorator for any kind of makeover big or small. I know all the tricks of the trade—and I love sharing them every chance I get.
